UNS 31008 is best known for high temperature service. 310/310S works well up to 2000 degrees F, where oxidation resistance is required. 310/310S is considered to be the premier high temperature performer among the common stainless grades. High nickel and moderate chromium content allow for improved resistance to high temperature cyclic oxidation, sulphidation and intergranular corrosion.
